Maria Ozawa (Japanese: 小澤瑪利亞, born January 8, 1986) is a Japanese businesswoman, former AV actress, and stripper. Her father is Canadian and her mother is Japanese. Her former stage name was Mari Yamahana. Born in Hokkaido, after graduating from high school she struggled to find a desired job and worked part-time. Through a friend's introduction, she learned about AV acting and decided to enter the industry. She made her debut in October 2005 under the S1 label. At the end of that year, she won the S1 Best Newcomer Award at the MOODYZ Year-End Thanksgiving Festival.
